All Hallow’s Eve is upon us and we’re sure you’re itching to flaunt the costume you’ve been working on for weeks (or a day in the case of the procrastinators). That’s why we decided to put a guide together so you know where is gon’ to get lit!

Furthermore! (you like that definitive word?) La Phoenikera has become a place where Día de Los Muertos celebrations are prominent and we don’t want you to miss those. (I’d be awesome if we would have aDía de los Muertos procession).

So here’s out guide for Halloween and Día de Los Muertos parties and events. We hope that whatever your motivations are, candy (of all the sorts), party or remembrance of the dead, you enjoy the festivities! 

 

HALLOWEEN PARTIES!

Anime Halloween Fest

This event promises Anime screenings, a cosplay contest, free comics, art and things to buy that you can only get at conventions!

WHEN: 10/27 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Bachata Addiction Halloween Addition

For those dancers out there, here’s a party for you! Guest DJs are DJ Relleno from Sacramento and Briana & Adriana from Washington DC. It’s outdoors in beautiful Phoenikera weather to top it off and if you shake it right in the best costume, you have a chance to win $500! 21+ event.

A Most Unusual Halloween Party

Head to this rooftop party for music by Stoneypie, performances inspired by the circus, halloween drinks and a chance to win a hospitality Package in downtown La Phoenikera.

Crescent Moon: Witches Night Out Costume Ball

This witchy event involves a dress to impress costume party, a taco bar with vegan options, new age and spiritual vendors and a cash bar for the 21+ crowd. There will also be music obvi! This costume ball is for ages 18 and over.

Crescent Ballroom Halloween Costume Ball

This is the Crescent’s 8th annual Halloween Ball produced in partnership with awesome DJ Sean Watson. Not gonna lie, this party is lit! There will be two stages, Sean Watson with Violin Girl and Jackal Jive from New York, Blossom, Gerry Gonza and KRUG ONE on stage 1 and DJentrification, Los Tropicalísimos Demons and Future Blunt on stage 2. Costumes required to get in!

Cumbia de los Muertos

This Latinx party is presented by Clandestino and Noche de Cumbia. They’re bringing down the house with music by Eclecto Fenix, La Diabla from good ol’ Tijuana, DJ Melo and Nico Paredes. What else to expect?: Cumbia dance lessons, tacos, face painting and a Latinx-themed costume party. They want to see Selena, El Santo, El Chavo, Chente and some others you might be imagining.

Downtown Phoenix Halloween Bar Crawl

This is downtown La Phoenikera’s first annual halloween bar crawl! 7 bars, 7 parties (Chambers, Cobra Arcade Bar, The Churchill, Seamus McCaffrey’s, Bliss ReBAR, Kettle Black, Gipsy Bar) and tons of Phoenikerxs in costume on the streets.

WHEN: 10/27 9 p.m. – 2 a.m.

WHERE: Registration is at Chambers Bar (705 N. 1st St., Phoenix) between 6 and 8 p.m.

Halloween Celebration at Hatter & Hare

Hatter & Hare is La Phoenikera’s only Alice in Wonderland themed restaurant and they’re having a halloween party! They’ll have music by DJ Riot Earp, a costume party with cash prizes and delicious grub and cocktails till close.

WHEN: 10/27 5 p.m. – 2 a.m.

Invasion of the Halloween Party

This day block party is hosted by Cobra Arcade Bar, Antique Sugar and Snoh. There will be a costume party, cash prizes, a burlesque show, tarot card and palm readings and a bunch of other cool stuff.

Skalloween Party

If you wanna be out hanging with peeps but the more upbeat club scene isn’t your thing, head over to Bonus Round bar for a chill halloween time. They’ll be giving away swag throughout the night!

The Rebel Set Halloween Bash

Show up to The Rebel Lounge for their halloween extravaganza and The Rebel Set’s Smidgeon Pigeon record release. Special guests include The Apaches, The Surfside IV and DOMS AZ plus a bunch of DJs playing throughout the night.

Thrill-n-Treat at Castles n Coasters

If you’re looking for a daytime adventure with the whole family, take them to Castles N’ Coasters! They’ll have unlimited rides (with admission) live music, free candy at every ride and a costume party.

DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS

Phoenix – Mikiztli Día de los Muertos Festival

This is an artistic experience that will end with a procession ceremony to honor the muertitos.

Dia de los Muertos: Ofrenda y Vota

Go to this event for some free music, food and the chance to honor your muertos while filling out your ballot to take care of your vivos.

Dia de los Muertos Festival at Azukar Coffee

Head over to the south side for food, music, live painting, a mercado and a vigil.
