Rita Indiana Releases Anti-corruption Anthem That’ll Shake Up Politicians
We’re hella excited that our beloved Rita Indiana returns to the music scene with “El Castigador,” a politically charged jam that’s pure faya. We’d given up on the idea of her return as a musician and thought she’d continue to solely dedicate her time to writing, but dropping this new song brings us back to life and perpetuates our faith in the Patron Saint of Musicians.
A few months ago Rita was a guest at Crossfade LAB, an event organized by Celebración Artística de las Américas (CALA), in which she mentioned her retirement from music was due to her disenchantment with fame and the lack of anonymity. In any case, she’s back and with a relevant message: wean off the corrupt from the privileges they’ve had thanks to the people.
