A Peruvian Party So Lit Your Chullo is Gon’ Fall Off
So I’ve been a fervent fan of El Chullo since I first visited about 5 years ago. Every time I go I have a hard time deciding what item on the menu I’m going to smash: the Lomo Saltado, Ceviche, el Escabeche de Pollo, or any other deliciousness. Whatever you order, you know shit’s gon’ go down once that plate lands on your craving taste buds (also, it’s sacrilegious not to try their pisco sour).
Seriously, this place is a staple in La Phoenikera’s food scene and I don’t think I’ve ever been treated better at a restaurant E V E R.
In any case, El Chullo is throwing a big ol’ party this weekend and if you want a splash of Andean culture in your life, you must pay them a visit this Saturday at Stratus.
The party offers food, live entertainment, family activities and tons of Peruvian fun because, you know, Peruvian independence.
In previous years they’ve had special events commemorating their independence from Spaniard bondage, but we heard that this year’s event is going to be massive. Some of the acts that’ll get you going are Bailemos Perú, César Costello, Sergio Eduardo and many more.
Why go? you may ask. Well, like any other country on the surface of the earth, Perú is more than its touristy destinations, the yeyo snorted mostly by American markets, la Inca Cola or other fun facts that circulate on social media. So this could be a glimpse into real Peruvian culture and its contribution to the world and our local community.
