Film – They Call Us Monsters
The Center for Neighborhood Leadership is hosting a screening of the documentary They Call Us Monsters. Directed by Ben Lear and released earlier this year, the film follows the lives of three teenage boys who are facing life in prison. They Call Us Monsters was produced in response to California’s Proposition 21, which depending on the severity of the crime, allowed for the possibility of youth receiving adult sentences. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the audience.
